Activity Check Reminder The current activity period will end in one week on October 31st 11:59 PM (UTC). If you have not filled out your October 2020 activity, please do so on the Activity Check page before the end of the month to remain in good active standing.

Players on hiatus are exempt from the activity check. They do not need to check-in for the month and may submit any valid activity for influence after their hiatus has ended.

Event Reminders
If you haven’t submitted your thread for the September event bonus, you must submit your completed thread before the end of the current AC period. Comments made in both September and October will be valid.

If you’d like for your character to die in the dream as part of the ongoing October event, please remember to report your character’s death before the end of the month. Any deaths that have not reported after midnight UTC on November 1st will not receive any additional details or influence on the setting. back to top

New Imprints & Game Updates
Hello everyone, and welcome to October! We have lots happening this month, so let’s get right into it:

October Event
There will be another event for the month of October. We will not reveal the full details just yet, but a post will be going up on October 7th to let everyone know what to prepare for. For now, we will only say that the concept of sleep and dreams will be introduced. Look forward to it!

New Imprints
4 new imprints have been added to the game’s setting, including 2 locations and 1 new species. This information will be copied to the Locations and Bestiary pages shortly.

There have also been updates to 1 location and 1 existing species based on character actions and new imprints.

Event Bonus
Since this our first event with an AC bonus included, we'd like to go over this one more time to ensure that everyone is on the same page. To receive the +5 influence bonus for September, you must complete an AC-length thread (5 comments from your character) with your assigned partner. This thread must be related to an exchange of memories between the two characters during the event period.

The event bonus thread will be submitted through AC, and a new section has been added to the form to accommodate this. You may submit your thread for the September event bonus no later than October's Activity Check. As the purpose of the event bonus is to encourage CR rather than monthly activity, comments made in October will also be valid. However, if you would like to use the same thread for your regular monthly activity as well, the usual AC rules will still apply.

August Game Updates New Player App Period
Our next new player app cycle will open on September 5th at 12:00 AM (UTC).
New player reserves will open in 2 hours from now, on August 30th at 12:00 AM (UTC). Please note that reserves will last one week from the day they are placed.

Since this will be our first app cycle under the new system, the full details of how the new player queue will work can be found on the Applications page.

As previously stated, nothing is set in stone and we're open to making changes to this system in the future based on player feedback. Please let us know if you have any questions, suggestions or concerns about the new app queue in the feedback thread below. Comments from players not currently in the game are also welcomed and appreciated!

Organic Imprints
A new page dedicated to organic imprints will be going up on September 7th. This page will allow players to submit threads as consideration for organic imprints as well as make it easier for everyone to keep track of what concepts and changes are currently being explored. We need a little more time to set everything up, so please have patience with us!

In the meantime, we'd like to remind everyone that there is a form at the top of the Locations page for physical changes characters have made to locations within the setting. We have also added new options to the Bestiary page for Name Suggestions and Species Assignment.

New Imprints
Lastly, we have a new round of organic changes! 3 locations, 2 species and 2 concepts have been updated with the changes below. This will be reflected on the Locations, Bestiary and State of the World pages shortly.

Imprint Update The new imprint round and event log is live! We're running a little late this time due to some unforeseen circumstances, but we hope everyone enjoys the new additions to the game's setting.

As of now, our imprint queue is empty! That means that we won't have any new locations or species added to the setting until some are either submitted or new characters are added in the next app round. You can expect to see more organic imprints in the meantime, so please let us know if your character is investigating something that your think could trigger a change in the world!

We'd also like to note that the final images for the new species aren't ready just yet, but we will be adding them as soon as they are. Please send our Crystal Exarch player Kiwi some love for her amazing designs!

Activity Check Warning List Missing Activity
The following characters have not submitted their July 2020 activity. If your character is on this list, please check to make sure you have filled out the Activity Check for this month. Any characters that have still not checked in within 24 hours of this post will be swept from the game.

If you believe your character has been listed by mistake, please let us know. We will be double-checking activity threads before sweeping anyone from the game, so as long as you've responded to your AC thread with the required activity before the warning period is up, you're fine.
