New Imprints

As of now, our imprint queue is empty! That means that we won't have any new locations or species added to the setting until some are either submitted or new characters are added in the next app round. You can expect to see more organic imprints in the meantime, so please let us know if your character is investigating something that your think could trigger a change in the world!
We'd also like to note that the final images for the new species aren't ready just yet, but we will be adding them as soon as they are. Please send our Crystal Exarch player Kiwi some love for her amazing designs!
5 new imprints have been added to the game’s setting, including 1 location and 2 unique species. This information will be copied to the Locations and Bestiary pages shortly.
There have also been updates to 3 sections of the State of the World to reflect new imprints and organic developments.
If you have any questions for the mods about the newly added imprints, you can leave a comment in the questions thread below. You may also use the comments section of this post to discuss plotting ideas with other players.
New Location: The Unforeseen Simulation Joint
Just visible from the shore of Takoba Beach is the top of a domed structure, barely peeking out from the ocean's surface. Though there's nothing in place to prevent water from flooding in, the inside of the dome is completely dry and filled with air. Past the entrance is a central plaza with a fountain and small park decorated with vibrant flower beds. There are paths leading out from the plaza to six distinct zones, though currently all but one of them are filled with nothing but massive trash heaps.
The first zone is the conflagration zone, contained within a smaller red dome at the back of the USJ. Inside is a wide grassy plain filled with beautiful, colorful flowers that are engulfed in an inextinguishable sea of flames. This doesn't seem to harm any of the plants, though, and the smoke that fills the dome smells pleasantly floral.
The Unforeseen Simulation Joint: Katsuki Bakugou (My Hero Academia)
Avalon fields: Merlin (Fate/Grand Order)
New Species: Mushrooms
Mushrooms can commonly be found in any dark places within the world, appearing suddenly and without warning. While some may be as small as a person's height, it's not uncommon for them to reach much larger sizes if given enough space to grow. The average mushroom is about the size of a large tree, with a vibrantly colourful cap and a thick white trunk. The inner flesh of these mushrooms are edible and safe to eat, whether one cuts one down to have a feast or simply takes a bite out of one in passing.
Giant Mushrooms: Indigo (Starbound)
New Species Category: Machines
Creatures that are made primarily of metal are known as machines. Their most notable trait is their strong pack mentality and telepathic communication. A lone machine doesn't amount to much, but a group of machines may link their minds together with others of their species to share information and form strategies.
They are capable of understanding language while linked together in a large group, but are generally hostile towards people and have difficulty speaking. When they do make decisions, it is usually for the benefit of the majority over individuals within their packs.
New Species: ????
Standing at about 8' tall, this creature has a striking appearance with large curved horns, brightly glowing eyes and a thick coat of black fur covering its body. Beneath the furry exterior, however, this quadrupedal beast is made entirely of metal, from its rows of razor-sharp teeth down to its three-toed feet.
At the end of its long tail is an odd metallic "face" with a single glowing lamp at its center. This creature can often be found hiding itself among the trees and bushes or under piles of trash, leaving only its ominously glowing tail to poke out into the open, luring its prey to investigate before springing out to attack. The tail can also imitate the speech of those around it in an odd accent that resembles garbled electronic noises.
Geth: Legion (Mass Effect)
Zumyu: Nisha (Elsword)
Light
Anything that would normally glow or generate light will do so, regardless of how that light is supposed to be generated. Lightbulbs, electronic screens, and any other technological devices that use light will always remain lit even without any kind of power source. A light source's brightness cannot be adjusted or turned off, though it may fluctuate at random. The only way to turn off a light source is to destroy it.
Fire
Fire may be produced from striking rocks together - the type of rock does not matter - over an object that you want to set on fire. Fire produces heat and light and will normally burn for a few hours before slowly shrinking away into nothing. This period can be extended by spreading the flames to new objects or adding new materials to the flame. Fire may also be extinguished by contact with water or strong winds.
Objects and beings that have been set on fire will be left with a thin layer of soot on the burnt area, but will otherwise be left unharmed, if a bit uncomfortably warm.
Health
Living things need to eat regularly and will experience pain and weakness if they do not. As there is no definition for food as of yet, anything that can be swallowed can be safely eaten. Characters that don't have mouths may use other methods to eat, provided they are putting something in their bodies. Characters do not need to poop or expel waste.

If a flower is removed from the conflagration dome, it may continue to burn indefinitely or it may go out after awhile. If it does go out, the flower is unharmed.

Yes, there are underground rocks in areas that would normally have rocks.
Question Re: Hunger/Eating
She's a curious little youkai.

(She's enjoying this search for the truth too much. It's keeping her from being insanely jealous. Anything to keep her mind busy!)
