September Game Updates & Event Plotting

Hello everyone! First thing's first: as we mentioned in our previous post, we have a new Organic Imprints page! Here, players will be able to submit threads that they feel might potentially influence the setting in some way. It is meant as a casual submission page so please don't overthink whether a thread is good enough to submit or not!
It was our original intention to implement organic imprints by following the threads in the game and noting recurring subjects and trends. However, as Tabula Rasa has turned out to be a little faster than we had anticipated, monitoring threads quickly grew difficult. We will still be making note of interesting character actions or discussions on our own, but this new page will allow players to bring attention to threads we may have otherwise missed.
We have also made a few minor edits to our main Imprint page to reflect the addition of an Organic Imprints page. The main difference is that the title has been changed to Canon Imprints & Regains, while the other edits focus more on making things clearer.
Upcoming Event Plotting
While most monthly logs focus on setting changes and developments as the world grows, for the upcoming log we will have prompts focusing on memory, which will encourage character interaction in such a way that plotting in advance will be essential. This event will begin on September 15th, and the effects will last until the end of the month at most.
There are two ways in which we will be playing with memory.
Memories of a False History
Based on the idea that something must have happened to Hammerlocke for it to wind up in ruins, some characters may find themselves recalling the disaster as though they were there to witness it. However, while they can recall the event in vivid detail as though it was incredibly recent, they will soon find that others do not recall the same disaster.
In addition to specific versions of the event for players to choose from for their character, intended to be more ‘common’ versions, players are also able to invent their own. It is recommended that these disasters relate in some manner to their own past experiences. If you have a suggestion you'd like to make for a possible explanation for the disaster, you can leave a comment in this thread below.
As characters share their insights and return to the ruins to investigate, they may find their imaginations taking over...
Memory Mixing and Confusion
Some of the invasive memories are not related to locations, but to each other. It seems that whatever caused characters to acquire new memories has also caused some memories to get scrambled. Characters will find themselves suddenly recalling things from the perspective of another, revealing details they never knew about them or their worlds. These new memories will replace random but important ones, and characters will be completely aware they have forgotten something important.
The lost memory does not need to be a memory given to another character. The significance and extent of the memory loss can vary according to player preference.
Lost memories do not need to be given to another character, and the significance and extent of the memory loss can vary according to player preference. Characters may also gain multiple memories from other characters, lose all of their own memories, be seemingly unaffected by the memory loss, and so on.
To restore jumbled memories, characters must find the person the invasive memory belongs to and discuss the topic with them. This will return the memory to the original character. Alternatively, the effect will fade as the setting begins to stabilize again near the end of the month.
While the invasive memories will be removed and characters will no longer recall them as their own, they will retain the knowledge that they had the memory and what the memory entailed. As such, they may very well come away knowing secrets they should never have learned.
Participation Bonus
To encourage potentially unexpected CR, we are offering an influence bonus of +5 points for this month. To qualify for this bonus, you must sign up your character for a randomized memory exchange and participate in at least one AC-length thread related to an assigned pairing. The sign up will last until September 11th 11:59 PM (UTC), after which characters will be paired off using a random number generator.
To sign up your character for a random memory exchange, you may leave a comment in the sign up thread below.
While only a randomly paired thread will count towards the participation bonus, players are not limited to only this thread for exchanging memories! Memories may be exchanged between any number of characters, as many times as the players would like.
Questions?
If you have any questions about the new Organic Imprints page or the upcoming event, you may leave us a comment in the questions thread below and we'll get back to you as soon as we can!

..........by what volcano, you ask? Don't ask questions. (Maybe Mt. Silver ??)
Black Rose
Exarch did not experience the event personally, but he did live in the aftermath of such a weapon two centuries after.
The Darkest Day
Lunar Cry!
Weather (Tornado/Blizzard or Hurricane/Blizzard combo)
Hammerlocke was just one of many victims of this disrupted weather.

Natural disasters caused by El scarcity
More importantly, as far as Add can tell so far there is no El present in this world at all, so obviously that means there's nothing to keep the environment in check and it's frankly a miracle anyone is even alive right now. The random windstorms are even more proof, see??
