Watanuki Kimihiro is from xxxHolic which is interconnected with Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle; he's the protagonist of the fomer and a minor character of the latter and both of them are a nightmare but also are surely needed to understand what the hell is this man so I am linking both Wikis here in case anyone is interested in his story and all the spoilers and whatnot: tsubasa&xxxholic

To sum up, Kimihiro is the (temporary or so he wishes) owner of a wish-granting store that only appears to those who need it. All wishes are technically game as long as one can pay the price and the store owner can grant it. He's obviously stripped of all magic but usually!! He's a powerful ass warlock and a dreamseer. Prior to the Void he had actually sold his ability to leave the shop so he's actually very confused as to how is he here.

The idea of different dimensions and realities is very very very close to home, his ~~mom~~ mentor was called the dimensional/space-time witch and well, he has actual reasons to not be surprised at the existence of the Void, due the revelations in Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle. He's nice (although he's nicer to girls tbh), polite and emotionally distant. Break that and he's basically a naggy, annoyed wife. He's an emotional, existential rollercoaster ride and he hasn't had a normal friend or seen anyone who isn't a client, his ~~boyfriend's~~ rival-turned-friend's son and further generations, or you know a PERSON WHO ISN'T A SPIRIT in decades please help him

Oh also he is currently blind in his golden-colored eye and yes he has two different eye colors and he can't taste food so that's fun
