This has given rise to a walking manifestation of one of his other nightmares, the fake cognitive self that killed him in canon. This doppelganger is part dangerous murderer, part fake-good-boy personality, all with the intent to cause as much destruction as possible.
The fake Akechi is going to try to kill Ren; Akechi's going to shove Ren out of the way and take first the magical blow meant for Ren, then a bullet directly between the eyes from the cognitive double, killing him instantly.
