Mid-February Imprints & Updates
February Event: Emotions In Bloom
February’s event is now in full swing! Characters that have fallen ill without attempting to resolve their emotional turmoil or care for their physical wounds will have started to experience the more floral symptoms of infection, which will continue until they are properly addressed.

If you are interested in your character’s infection festering to a stage beyond what was already outlined in the OOC event post, remember to contact us for more details about what that might entail.

Species Naming Poll, Round 2
Round 2 of the Species Naming Poll is now live! The format since the last poll has remained unchanged; this round will include tiebreakers from December’s poll, along with our two most recently added species. Make sure to cast your vote!

The deadline for this species poll will be March 11th at 11:59 PM (UTC).

Clarification of Ley Line Mechanics
We have noticed some confusion over the ley line network established recently and would like to make a few clarifications. Our intentions with the ley lines was to experiment with the idea of a network and create an opportunity for characters to interact with it more freely during its introductory event, but the current ley line network is meant to be a limited, rudimentary method of communication. It is not a standard DWRP game network, and we apologize if this was not made clear enough.

Ley lines are more like an open chat room than a message board. Messages can only be heard in the moment, and anything communicated through ley lines cannot be considered private as anyone is able to listen in at any moment. Players should be encouraged to “threadjack” in ley line posts since separate conversations would be more difficult to manage, though it can also be assumed that the initial message was sent out multiple times to reach different people throughout the day. For a conversation to be private, it should be conducted in person.

Ley Lines cannot be accessed everywhere in the setting, as characters must be near a ley line deposit. These exist in several locations, noted on the Locations page. They are meant to be accessible enough that characters can easily find one when needed, but also encourage them to visit less frequented places.

We would like to ask that everyone please keep these restrictions in mind when using the ley lines in their posts moving forward. It is possible to develop a more standard network through the use of imprints, which may not necessarily use ley lines as their basis. If this is something that you think your character would like to work towards, we encourage you to workshop with us to establish a potential roadmap both ICly and OOCly.

Imprint Queue
Currently, our imprint queue is at 12 submissions, or 11 if we exclude the submission for overgrowth. This may seem like a lot, but about half of these submissions are concepts, most of which we've put aside for specific months to use as events. Since we are starting to run low on scenery and species imprints to fill out the gaps between larger concept-based events, you can expect smaller imprint updates until we're able to build up a larger queue again.

Due to the nature and intent of Tabula Rasa as a game, we do rely on player submissions to give us a foundation for the setting’s development and for events. If you have influence points to spend, please give us some more material to work with! Species imprints would be particularly appreciated so we can make better use of the evolution concept introduced last month. To submit new imprints, please use the Canon Imprints page.

New Imprints
1 new canon imprint has been implemented from the queue. Our current imprint queue is now at 12 imprints.

Today's round of changes includes 1 location update, 1 species update, and 1 new concept. This information will be copied to the appropriate pages shortly.

If you have any questions for the mods about the newly added imprints, you can leave a comment in the questions thread down below.
